Why the fuck does “copy/paste” have to use a single unique clipboard (in fact there are 2 or 3 natively in Linux, but whatever) ?

Supercharged copy/paste

Using a clipboard manager allows you to save an history of N last copied/cut elements. It’s like having N clipboards.

It’s usefull as hell in almost every situations as it saves you a shitload of back and forth between windows (especially when refactoring code).

I personally use ClipIt and configured an hotkey to quickly access its clipboard history popup.
